Summer walk Friday 29th June

There are still places available on the next summer walk on Friday evening 29th June. We'll be meeting at 7.30pm at Davy Tower in Tower Gardens for a leisurely stroll, led by Simon Batchelor. He will take us via Skeldergate Bridge on a tour of medieval Clementhorpe, including the site of the Priory of St Clement, its Benedictine Nunnery from 12th to 16th Century. The walk will take around an hour and finishes at Southlands Chapel. Simon has promised us a bit of history and a bit of folklore, with the option to retire to a local pub afterwards if you would like.

Please note this walk is now suitable for wheelchairs.

Cost: £1 members, £3 non-members.
